Ed Henry pressed White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest on Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl after the news that he had been charged with desertion.

“Do you still believe Bowe Bergdahl served with honor and distinction?” Henry asked.

“I don’t want to be in a position of commenting on an ongoing military justice investigation,” Earnest said.

Henry than asked what Earnest would say to the families of six soldiers who are believed to have died looking for Bergdahl.

“I would say the same thing to them that I would say to all of the families across the country that have paid such a dear price for the service of their loved ones in Afghanistan, which is that we deeply value their service and their commitment to this country,” Earnest told him.
