Sean Hannity tonight gave Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) an uninterrupted 60 seconds to explain why he’s the best Republican to run for president in 2016.

Cruz said that America needs a leader who will stand up and tell the truth on the issues of the day, from ObamaCare to the national debt to Iran.

“We need leaders who stand and lead,” he said.

Cruz stressed that Republicans must win in 2016 because America can’t continue down its current path for another four to eight years.

“The only way to win is to bring back to the polls the millions of conservatives who’ve been staying home, the millions of Christians, the millions of Reagan Democrats who have been staying home,” Cruz said. “As I look at the field, I see a lot of good people who I like, who I respect, but I don’t see a whole lot of candidates who I think can energize and mobilize the conservatives who stayed home in ‘08 and ’12. If we don’t bring them back, Hillary Clinton is the next president.”
