A horrific 911 call details the moments after a pregnant woman’s baby was ripped from her womb.

Authorities say the 26-year-old victim went to the suspect’s home in Longmont, Colo., to respond to a Craigslist ad for baby clothes. That’s when police say the suspect, 34-year-old Dynel Lane, stabbed the victim with a knife and glass and ripped her unborn child from her stomach.

Police say the victim managed to call 911 as she was bleeding out. The 911 responder tried to keep her awake, urging, “You stay with me, don’t go to sleep.”

Police rushed the victim to the hospital, where they found Lane. The suspect had shown up with the fetus, claiming she had a miscarriage.

The victim is recovering from surgery, but the baby did not survive.

Lane is facing charges of attempted murder and child abuse that resulted in death. So far, she is not facing a murder charge for the death of the baby. Authorities say they must first determine if the baby was alive when taken from the victim’s womb, as well as the cause of death.

The Associated Press reports that Lane lost a child back in 2002 in an accidental drowning.
