Charles Krauthammer tonight slammed the Obama administration’s “pettiness and petulance” in its reaction to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s election victory.

Secretary of State John Kerry has called Netanyahu to congratulate him, but it’s not clear when President Barack Obama will do the same.

Krauthammer said that a White House aide congratulated Israel on holding an election rather than congratulating the winner.

“Look, it’s clear that Obama loathes Netanyahu more than any other world leader, meaning more than the ayatollah in Iran or Putin in Russia,” Krauthammer said. “He did everything he could to unseat him, but he failed.”

Krauthammer also remarked that “this was an election between Bibi and Obama.”
