Kanye: 'Beck Should Respect Artistry, Give Grammy to Beyonce'
It was Kanye West who stole the show again at the Grammys last night, awkwardly walking onto the stage after Beck had been announced as the "Album of the Year" winner.
Beck looked confused as West joined him on the Staples Center stage after his surprise win for "Morning Phase."
He then motioned for West to stay on the stage, but West went back to his seat.
Beyonce and Jay-Z were shown laughing at West's latest awards show antics.
West, who drew criticism in 2009 for interrupting Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the VMAs, then made his thoughts very clear in an interview with E! after the show.
Alongside his wife, Kim Kardashian, West expressed his anger that Beyonce was not given the award.
"I just know that the Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. We ain’t gonna play with them no more. And Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given his award to Beyonce and at this point, we tired of it. Because what happens is when you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in the face after they deliver monumental feats of music, you’re disrespectful to inspiration," he said in an interview with E!.
On "Fox and Friends" this morning, Michael Tammero recapped the rest of the show and brought us some interviews from the red carpet.
British newcomer Sam Smith was the big winner of the night, taking home four Grammys including Best New Artist and Song of the Year for "Stay With Me."
