GOOD NEWS UPDATE, 2/13/15: The kindness of two Target employees in North Carolina paid off. The teen who they prepared for a job interview has been hired by Chick-fil-A!
Original story below:
Two North Carolina Target employees went above and beyond for a teenage shopper, and the unique moment was captured by a woman at the store.
Shopper Audrey Mark was at the Raleigh Target when she came across an employee speaking to the teen.
"I see this young teen being hovered over by this Target employee," Mark told WTVD, explaining that she first thought the teen was in trouble for some reason.
She stood and watched as a Target employee began fixing the teen's tie and giving him advice for a job interview.
It all started when the teen came into Target looking for a clip-on tie. Target employee Cathy Scott told him that they don't carry clip-on ties, and she called over fellow Target worker Dennis Roberts, who helped him tie a tie.
The two Target employees didn't stop there; they also showed the teen how to give a proper handshake and gave him advice for possible interview questions.
Mark snapped a photo of the heartwarming moment and shared it on Target's Facebook page.
"We were just here to help a young man get a job and forward his future," Roberts told WTVD.
Mark noted in the Facebook post that as the teen left the store, a group of Target team members cheered him on for his job interview.
“THIS is true customer service – Right on the mark, Target!” Mark wrote in the post. "Fingers crossed for this kid'z interview!! Bought headbands, ham and had my heart warmed...I LOVE Target!!!"
Since posting the photo online, it has been shared more than 50,000 times.
