Rand Paul's Health Care Suggestion: 'We Could Try Freedom'
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) went “On The Record” this evening to discuss the new Congress in his first interview of the year.
Paul said that there will be votes on total and partial repeal of ObamaCare.
Greta Van Susteren asked: what would Americans have instead?
“We could try freedom for a while. We had it for a long time. That’s where you sell something and I agree to buy it because I like it," Paul said.
Paul also discussed his plan to introduce a bill tomorrow to withhold American tax dollars to the Palestinian Authority.
He explained that the Palestinian Authority gets money from American taxpayers “presumably because they’ll peacefully interact with Israel.” Now, he said the Palestinian Authority is applying to be part of the International Criminal Court and wants to investigate Israeli soldiers for war crimes.
He told Van Susteren that he doesn’t think it’s a good idea to give money to an entity that wants to investigate an American ally’s soldiers.
