Sony Pictures’ CEO Michael Lynton has responded to President Barack Obama’s statement today that pulling “The Interview” release “was a mistake.”

Lynton said that the company did not make a mistake by pulling the movie’s release.

“We have not caved, we have not given in, we have persevered, and we have not backed down. We have always had the desire to have the American public see this movie,” Lynton told CNN.

The release date for “The Interview” was canceled due to threats from hackers.
