Charles Krauthammer said this evening that he’s “intrigued” by President Barack Obama’s declaration that the U.S. response to the Sony hack would be “proportional.”

U.S. officials say North Korea is to blame for the cyber-attack.

“What exactly can we do that’s proportional? We’re gonna launch a cyber-attack on the Internet infrastructure of North Korea, which will mean that we will bring to a screeching halt their three-car trolley system?” Krauthammer quipped, explaining that North Koreans are living in a primitive matter.

“We don’t exactly have the means to retaliate.”

Krauthammer echoed a Wall Street Journal suggestion: have the U.S. government take possession of the film and disseminate it so that it becomes the most-watched movie in the world.
