Student: Parents Should Be Held in Contempt for Refusing to Pay Tuition
A college student who sued her parents for tuition now wants them held in contempt of court.
Caitlyn Ricci, 21, sued her divorced parents for $16,000 for her tuition to Temple University, and a judge ruled in her favor.
But her parents reportedly won’t pay up until their estranged daughter starts speaking to them.
“I’m not going to pay,” Ricci’s father said. “I’m not going to give them any money until my daughter has a relationship with me and we start to heal our family.”
Ricci, who hasn’t spoken to her parents in two years, wants them fined $100 per day until they pay her the money.
