It's been a truly memorable "Fox and Friends" this morning as Elisabeth Hasselbeck returned from a month-long absence.

She opened up about undergoing surgery after doctors found a tumor in her abdomen. Thankfully, the ensuing tests for cancer came back negative and the operation went smoothly.

"I had a scary week where we didn't know what the results were, but I'm OK. ... Thankfully, I had the blessing of it not being cancer," she told Steve Doocy and Eric Bolling on the curvy couch.

Hasselbeck explained that while she waited for the results, she thought about what she'd do if it was bad news.

She said she was thinking about many other people who've been diagnosed with cancer and done remarkable things and showed great courage.

Hasselbeck thanked the Fox News family and all the fans for their well wishes and support.

"I'm not a person who believes that I take lot for granted, but I certainly don't take it for granted now. Tim, my husband, he really stepped up, he was my hospital buddy and really took care of me. Friends came to sit with me during some ugly hours," said Hasselbeck.

Later in the show, it was grab-the-tissues time as Elisabeth's three children - Isaiah, Taylor and Grace - welcomed her back in an adorable video message.

The line that got her? "Have a good day at work, Mommy!"

And that wasn't all... Elisabeth's former "The View" co-host and close friend Sherri Shepherd surprised her on the set, just like she did on Elisabeth's first day at "Fox and Friends."

"We've been through a lot of stuff together," said Elisabeth. Shepherd said she was amazed at the messages she received from Elisabeth during the tough few weeks.

"She doesn't like to bother people so she will call and leave you Scriptures on the phone. And you go, 'I'm here for you,' and she goes, 'No, no, I don't want to bother you but I'm praying for you.' This is how wonderful this girl is," she said.

Shepherd then had Steve cracking up during a discussion about women and wigs.
