It was an exciting moment for one Tennessee man last week when he made his final alimony payment to his ex-wife.

Ed Smith, 54, busted out the moonwalk and some other interesting dance moves at a Memphis, Tenn., Bank of America after he paid off his $10,000 commitment to his ex-wife.

“Thank you Jesus! I’m free at last, free at least!” he exclaims, as he dances around the Bank of America.

The New York Daily News reported:

Smith told the Daily News he was with his wife for about 12 years and the couple had no children. His wife was not working when they divorced so he reached an agreement to pay her $825 a month in alimony for a year.

The insurance agent and musician said he works about 60 hours a week and it was a "real struggle" for him to be able to write the monthly checks.

"I was so happy to make that last payment," he said. "$800! That's some peoples' house note right there."
