PHOTOS: Soldier Buried 70 Years After He Died Battling German Troops
A burial service was held today at Arlington National Cemetery for a soldier who died nearly 70 years ago.
Army Pvt. Cecil Harris was 19 when his platoon came under fire from German troops in France back in 1945.
He had been listed as missing until last year, when French hikers found his remains near the German border. His ID tag was discovered in a shallow grave.
Bret Baier said tonight, “On a day when another Canadian soldier was killed, [it's] an important remembrance of the service and sacrifice of U.S. soldiers and their families, now and decades ago.”
