Police say human remains were found today on an abandoned property in southern Albemarle County, Virginia, and they could be those of missing University of Virginia student Hannah Graham.

Charlottesville Police Chief Timothy J. Longo confirmed during a press conference this evening that sometime before noon today a search team found human remains.

Longo said authorities are awaiting forensics testing results to determine the identity and will not be able to provide further details at this time.


Man Accused of Abducting UVA Student in Custody


Jesse Matthew - the man who Graham was last seen with in downtown Charlottesville on September 13 - was charged on September 23 for abduction with intent to defile in connection with Graham's disappearance and is being held without bond.
