The Texas Longhorns have had a slow start to the season under new coach Charlie Strong.

So who better to inspire the players than Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey?

The UT alum delivered an inspiring pep talk this week, calling on the team to push themselves to be better each day and ask themselves why they play the game.

"I didn't do my best work and I still don't think I've done my best work until I push myself further than even I think I can be," he said.

McConaughey then took some questions from players, saying his favorite movie that he's made is "Mud." He then gave them the back story on the "Wolf of Wall Street" chest pound.

We'll see how well the pep talk worked tomorrow when the Longhorns host undefeated Baylor.
