Bill O’Reilly tonight took on President Barack Obama’s jab at Fox News during a speech at Northwestern University yesterday.

“While good affordable health care might seem like a fanged threat to the freedom of the American people on Fox News, it turns out it’s working pretty well in the real world,” Obama said.

While there’s no question that Obama is having a hard time governing, O’Reilly said most of the media is still on his side.

Doocy: The President 'Should Be Worried About Putin, Not Fox News'

“Fox News has never been on the president’s side but that doesn’t mean we’ve been unfair with him. We cover the president with skepticism, and that’s what journalists and analysts should do with everyone in power,” he said.

Since Obama doesn’t get much media criticism, O'Reilly said Obama believes that Fox News is out of control.

“I understand why [Obama doesn't] like us, and I also understand that the president can gin up his base by lobbing a few verbal grenades our way.”
