On The Real Story today, Fox News chief intelligence correspondent Catherine Herridge said the U.S. government has the right to seize the passports of suspected terrorists from Western countries, but that move could actually backfire and create an intelligence black hole.

Although there are growing fears that terrorists could slip into the U.S. with Western passports, there is also concern that taking away those passports from suspected terrorist could remove one of the Department of Homeland Security's best methods of tracking their movements.

For example, according to Herridge, the TSA has the right to track anyone 72 hours before their entry into the U.S. if they are coming from countries that are known transit points from Syria, including Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan.
