Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) went “On The Record” to discuss a bill she has introduced that would stop ISIS fighters from re-entering the United States.

Under the bill, U.S. residents who join with ISIS would have their passports removed and would begin the process of losing their U.S. citizenship. They wouldn’t be able to return to the U.S.

Bachmann said the FBI says that ISIS fighters are currently able to re-enter the United States and are put on a terror watch list, so they have to go through extra airport screening.

The Minnesota congresswoman said we must pass the bill.

“This is common sense. We can’t allow these Islamic State fighters to come back into this country.”

Bachmann said about 20 people from Minnesota have left to fight with ISIS.
