‘Citizens Paying $25B Because You Defy Federal Law’: O’Reilly Slams CA Gov. Brown on Illegal Immigration
In tonight’s Talking Points Memo, Bill O’Reilly said that California Gov. Jerry Brown has created a sanctuary state which will not cooperate with the federal government by enforcing immigration law.
O’Reilly said that Brown is subverting federal law by allowing illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses. “The Factor” host said he is also undermining comprehensive immigration reform, which won’t happen as long as people like Brown disregard current federal policy.
Reform requires compromise, O’Reilly said, but open border and amnesty people won’t compromise if they think they can get what they want without securing the border.
O’Reilly believes that Brown and others are basically saying to illegal immigrants: you’re welcome in California, come on in.
“We all know why Jerry Brown is doing what he’s doing: votes,” O’Reilly said, noting that one-third of people living in California were not born in the United States.
Illegal immigration costs California an estimated $25 billion per year.
“American citizens in your state paying $25 billion because you defy federal law,” O’Reilly said. “It’s absolutely irresponsible, most likely illegal, and as I said, completely insane.”
