New Mexico is becoming the latest state planning to reverse President Barack Obama’s halt on work requirements for welfare recipients.

Today on “Cashin’ In,” a panel discussed whether there should be a work requirement for food stamp recipients.

“I don’t see why not. Why shouldn’t everybody work a little bit?” Wayne Rogers asked, noting that New Mexico’s plan would just be restoring the original law.

Michelle Fields and Jonathan Hoenig then got into a heated debate on whether or not welfare programs should exist at all.
