Israel and Hamas have agreed to an unconditional, 72-hour humanitarian cease-fire in Gaza that will begin on Friday.

Tonight, Greta Van Susteren spoke to Mark Regev, the spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the conflict.

Israel is currently trying to shut down Hamas’ network of tunnels to protect itself, which Regev compared to “having a knife at your throat.” He said dozens of tunnels have been destroyed by the Israelis so far, but they are still searching for more.

He told Greta, “Benjamin Netanyahu said we will continue the operation against the tunnels with a cease-fire or without because we can’t allow this threat to remain.”

Regev added, "We can’t guarantee 100 percent success, but we’ll get pretty close."
