The incredible life story of "The Godfather of Soul," James Brown, comes to the silver screen in the new film “Get On Up,” opening in theaters Friday. On In the FOXLight today, Michael Tammero gave us a preview of the movie, which is writer/director Tate Taylor's follow-up to the four-time Academy Award-nominated blockbuster "The Help."

Tammero raved that "Get On Up" was "fantastic" and singled out Chadwick Boseman's starring performance. “He is James Brown," Tammero said. "It is so tough with a role like this because it could easily go into camp. And he walks that line perfectly.”

He added he did not realize just how big and influential Brown was. “He really was Jay-Z before Jay-Z," Tammero said. "He changed the way the business operated.”

Tammero caught up with Boseman and co-star Octavia Spencer at the Apollo Theater to ask about their favorite songs from "The Hardest Working Man in Show Business" and what his legacy means.

There was also a visit from some friendly penguins to help Tammero announce the winner of a Fox Fan Contest to attend the premiere of “Penguins of Madagascar” in New York City!
