‘Putin Believes He Is Sort of Superman’: Huckabee on Russia’s Reported Violation of 1987 Missile Treaty
Mike Huckabee was on “The Kelly File” tonight to discuss Russia and Vladimir Putin.
The U.S. has released new satellite images that appear to provide the clearest evidence to-date to show that Russia is directly attacking Ukraine, with telltale signs of rocket launchers in Russia and charred craters in Ukraine.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Martin Dempsey says the armed forces are dusting off military plans which date back to the Cold War.
Now, the Obama administration is accusing Russia of violating the 1987 I.N.F. treaty by testing an intermediate range nuclear force missile. Obama has reportedly informed Putin of this in a letter.
Huckabee said, “Putin has no respect for that treaty […] so this is the Vladimir Putin who believes that he is sort of Superman and he’s like that teenage boy sitting up in his room. His mother says, ‘Don’t make me come up there,’ but his mother hasn’t been there in five years, he’s not the least bit worried that anybody’s gonna come up there and check on him, and I don’t think that a strongly worded letter from Barack Obama – if he can get it sent off before his next round of golf – is gonna matter to Putin. He simply doesn’t care.”
Huckabee said Obama is “utterly checked out” and doesn’t pay attention to crises like the southern border, Gaza or the conflict in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Putin is poking all the boundaries to see how far he can go.
