'He Never Suffered': Victims' Family Says AZ Execution Was Not Botched
Arizona Governor Jan Brewer (R) is calling for a review of the execution of Joseph Wood, a man found guilty of murdering his ex-girlfriend and her father in 1989.
According to some witnesses, Wood died nearly two hours after receiving a lethal injection on Wednesday.
Tonight on Hannity, the sister and daughter of the victims spoke out about what some are calling a “botched” execution.
Jeanne Brown said Wood laughed at her family when he was brought in for the execution. Contrary to what has been reported, Brown said the convicted murderer was snoring and not gasping for air.
She questioned why it took so long for Wood to face justice.
“It’s never about the victims and the family and what they have to go through and having to live the rest of their lives,” Brown said. “Until this day yesterday it was always about him. Him suffering, which he never did suffer. Everything revolves around the criminal or the inmate.”
