Family Research Council President Criticizes Obama Admin for Silence on Religious Freedom
In a big victory for religious freedom, the pregnant Sudanese woman who faced execution for her Christian faith has been set free. Meriam Ibrahim and her newborn baby met with Pope Francis today after six months in a Sudanese prison.
Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, whose group pushed for Ibrahim’s release, appeared on The Kelly File tonight.
“Religious liberty around this world has been suffering and it’s been suffering because this administration and our government hasn’t been speaking out. Religious freedom is not just an American ideal. It’s a human right,” Perkins said, adding that there are thousand more like Ibrahim across the world.
