Three Kansas City police officers were caught on camera shooting hoops with kids in their community.

Officers Todd Templeton, Bill Hooley and Tanner Moats were on “Fox and Friends” to discuss the video, which has been making the rounds on social media.

Templeton said the scrimmage was spur-of-the-moment after the kids flagged them down to play. He said they’ve played basketball with them before.

Hooley said it’s good to get to know the kids in the community in a friendly way.

“I think it should be part of our duty to interact with the community,” Moats said. “I mean, we do it because it’s fun, we enjoy doing that stuff. And I think everyone should do it. […] Hopefully they can look up to us and know that hey, we ain’t all bad guys, so they can come to us if they need something.”

“They see us more as friends now,” Hooley said.
