Is the media overlooking tech titans’ misogyny? That’s a question that Howard Kurtz and PandoDaily founder Sarah Lacy explored today on “Media Buzz.”

Tinder co-founder Justin Mateen has just been placed on leave after being sued for sexual harassment. Sexually explicit emails from Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel's college days also leaked a few months ago.

Lacy said that these stories are disturbing because they gloss over the problem of sexism in the technology industry and in Silicon Valley.

“The real problem with sexism in the Valley isn’t emails sent from Tinder or Snapchat. I mean, it way predated those guys,” she said.

In terms of letting these people off the hook, she said, “In general, we tend to look the other way when the brash, arrogant, young founder is being a brash, arrogant, young founder."
