An Arizona family of eight is traveling cross-country during their summer vacation to perform chores for strangers in need.

The Murset family is driving an RV around America, making 25 stops in 20 days. They are doing chores for one family in need per city that they stop in.

The Mursets spoke to Uma Pemmaraju today about their trip, which was inspired by an app called "My Job Chart," created by Gregg Murset.

“This is really just a natural outgrowth of what My Job Chart really teaches, and that’s work ethic, accountability, responsibility, then giving back for kids,” Gregg said of the trip.

Gregg explained that the 20-day volunteering trip is about practicing what they preach.

“I think the kids are starting to see that the world is a bigger place than just their little bubble,” he said.
