As Martha MacCallum - a mom of teenagers - pointed out on America's Newsroom: it can be a challenge to get one teenager to do something. Much less 1,400 of them at the same time. And that's perhaps why this video from a Pennsylvania high school is quickly going viral.

The students at North Hills High School, near Pittsburgh, came together for an incredible performance set to the hit song "Wake Me Up" by Avicii, featuring lip syncing and dancing. It has been viewed more than 35,000 times in the past week, making its its way to local news outlets.

The video's director, senior Nick Ross, spoke to Bill Hemmer and Martha MacCallum on America's Newsroom about shooting it all in one take.

"We had a 40 minute window, it was ninth period on the day of the shoot. We called everyone down, we went through once with a dry run, no confetti, and then we actually reset and ran through it in one take," said Ross.

Ross praised his school's spirit, "It's funny, you give kids a handful of confetti and tell them they can run up and down the hallways screaming, and you have a lot of energy in your video."
