Portland police were called after a 22-pound cat forced its owners to barricade themselves in the bedroom after attacking their baby.
The cat, named Lux, was apparently scratching the baby when the parents shooed him away. That’s when they say Lux went crazy, hissing and following the family around the house. They locked themselves in the bedroom and called 911.
The man says to the operator, “He’s charging at us. He’s at our door.”
When Lux is heard making noises, the 911 operator tells the man to keep the door shut.
Police were able to contain the cat and the baby was not seriously injured. The family is deciding whether to give Lux up for adoption.
