The families of employees at Washington, D.C.'s Navy Yard remain on pins and needles Monday afternoon as they await word from loved ones on lockdown inside the facility following a deadly shooting that took place this morning.

Affiliate cameras captured the above exchange between a wife and her husband, who was finally able to phone his wife to let her know he was alive and uninjured.

The emotional call left Megan Fletcher, the wife of employee Steve Fletcher, shaken, as she held back tears saying she couldn't wait to "hug him" and tell him she loves him before taking him home.
