Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Alex Cobb is probably thanking his lucky stars this morning after a liner hit him in the head, undoubtedly leaving him seeing stars during Saturday’s game.

The ball, said to be traveling at around 110 mph off the bat of Royals hitter Eric Hosmer, struck Cobb on his right ear, the impact immediately knocking him to the ground. He was taken off of the field via stretcher and is said to have suffered a mild concussion.

All in all, a pretty fortunate-feeling Cobb tweeted about the incident on Sunday after his release from the hospital.
