The city of Boston on Monday afternoon at 2:50 p.m. ET marked the one-week anniversary since the marathon bombing rocked the city, and the nation.

During the silent tribute, Mayor Tom Menino, Gov. Deval Patrick, other dignitaries and everyday citizens gathered throughout the city and its surrounding areas to remember those who lost their lives in the attack and subsequent manhunt for the suspects.

The moment also served to remember the over 170 individuals who sustained injuries in the blasts, dozens of whom remain in hospitals for treatment.
