After President Obama made an address Tuesday on climate change, guest host Laura Ingraham cut straight to the punch in an interview with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on The O'Reilly Factor, asking, "has the president completely lost touch with the problems facing America?"

Cruz remarked on the irony of the president's speech, citing that "all Americans say that our top priority right now is jobs and the economy." For Obama, then, to come out and say that one of his top priorities is "killing jobs and hurting the economy" due to his call for a national energy tax?

"It's an example of his being out of touch with hard-working Americans," said Cruz.

The senator also responded to the discord between Republicans on Capitol Hill over the 'Gang of 8' immigration deal. "You're pulling each other's hair out!'" Ingraham remarked.

"The nice thing is, Laura, that we don't have to hypothesize" about the impact of the bill, Cruz said citing a past amnesty bill that was of "the exact same shell" as the current one. "I don't think the American people are going to fall for it a second time."
