A new report on how the Pentagon may be failing active military duty soldiers and their families is turning heads and sparking outrage. In the Reuters story, it was revealed that some military personnel return home from serving their country only to have to fight against bureaucracy just to get their paychecks.

Pete Hegseth, CEO of Concerned Veterans of America, joined in expressing his outrage.

In part, the expose told the story of one medic who was forced to go to a food shelter just to pay for what he needed. Hegseth said he's not shocked by this.

"I've had pay garnished from me," he said adding that eventually he just "gave up, because the Pentagon was so complex to try to navigate how to fix it."
