More than 2,000 passengers of the Royal Caribbean's Grandeur of the Seas are being flown back to the U.S. Tuesday after a fire broke out on the ship at around 3a ET on Monday.

Some passengers say it was the worst night of their lives, waking up to calls of "mayday" to find flames engulfing the back of the boat while en route to the Bahamas. Photos, seen in the clip below, show some of the significant damage done by the fire. Crew members handed out life vests and oxygen masks, and it's believed that the ship never lost power during the ordeal.

All passengers are getting a full refund and certificates for another cruise ... if they choose to redeem them.
