Lightning may not strike the same place twice, but meteorologists say the chances were one in a million that it would strike inside a Houma, La. grocery store. It's an occurrence that shopper Lakeisha Brooks experienced first hand, being jolted by the lightning strike while standing in a checkout line.

"My eyes were burning," Brooks said. "It was something I've never experienced ever, ever in my life."

It's believed that the current came through the roof, then traveled through the sprinkler system before striking a metal plate on the floor where Brooks was standing.
