A Florida judge has ruled on what evidence can be used in the trial of George Zimmerman, the man accused in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

The judge blocked the defense from showing some of the photos retrieved from the teen's cell phone showing a hand holding a gun, as well as images of pot.

Attorney Arthur Aidala says it makes sense that the judge found them inadmissible.

"A judge is supposed to allow evidence that's applicable to the events that happened [that night]," he said, adding that it's impossible to know the context in which those cell phone pictures were taken.
