In the days following the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the murder charges brought against him for the shooting death of teen Trayvon Martin, celebrities like Beyonce and Stevie Wonder spoke out to express outrage about the verdict. Rapper Jay-Z joined those ranks, and video of comments he made exploded on the internet today, making its way to the desk of the folks at The Five.

In the remarks, Jay-Z said, "I didn't sleep for two days [after the verdict]. I was really angry about it ... Didn't Trayvon have a right to stand his ground?..." Of Zimmerman, he added, "Thiis guy's not a professional. This guy's a novice; this guy's a f$% mall cop."
