SWAT teams have been sent in to assist in a tense standoff in Phoenix, Ariz. where a 32-year-old man named Israel Celis is believed to be holding two people hostage inside a home.

Below is more information out from the Associated Press:

Phoenix police have surrounded a home where they say an armed man inside is the father of a 3-year-old boy whose abduction was the subject of an Amber Alert.

Sgt. Steve Martos says police are negotiating with 32-year-old Israel Celis Sr. as the standoff continues Tuesday morning.

Martos says a man, a woman and an 8-year-old child also are in the home. He says police were able to extract two women from the home through a window and that Celis first released one person and then his son and a 13-year-old girl.

The Amber Alert said Celis broke into the Tolleson home of the boy's mother Monday and abducted the boy at gunpoint. Celis had two other children with him at the time, according to police.
