A $600 million development project in Hollywood could get canned if geologists' predictions are proven true. Developers were shaken up by recent revelations that their 1-million square-foot luxury hotel and office space, known as Millenium Park, likely sits right atop the Hollywood earthquake fault.

Geologists say the fault is active, and may run right underneath the project, which would build two towers upward of 35 stories each. More experts are weighing in and urging more seismic testing to determine exactly where the fault lies.

Los Angeles bars any construction within 50 feet of a fault line.
