FL Police Release PSA, Prepare for Riots After Zimmerman Verdict
Law enforcement in Florida is gearing up ahead of the verdict in the trial of George Zimmerman, preparing for the potential of riots and possible violence. Zimmerman was charged with second degree murder in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
The Broward County Sheriffs Department, for example, met with local clergy and instructed the community to keep lines of communication open. They also released a PSA urging people to "raise your voice and not your hands." (Seen in the video above)
