Cardinals Cheerleader and Former Soldier Charged With Assaulting Boyfriend
Arizona Cardinals cheerleader and Army veteran Megan Welter has been charged with assaulting her boyfriend.
After the two got into a brawl last month, Welter proceeded to call 911, telling the dispatcher that her partner had become “abusive” and had smacked her head into tile.
When police arrived, Welter and the boyfriend were reportedly intoxicated. Welter told the officers that she found a text message she didn't approve of on the boyfriend’s phone.
He, however, disputed her claims that he had struck her, saying that in actuality, she had hit him ... and that he had a cell phone video to prove it.
Welter, 29, was arrested on July 20 and charged with disorderly conduct, alleged assault and criminal damage.
