Two would-be crooks in California may have learned their lesson when it comes to the importance of locking your cell phone whilst involved in a crime spree. Heck, they may have even realized why it's probably not a good idea to break into someone's car, look for drugs, and drive away. (In case you're wondering, that's exactly what they did.)

UNBELIEVABLE: Plane Diverted After Passenger Refuses to Stop Singing Whitney Houston Song

Unfortunately for Nathan Teklemariam and Carson Rinehart, one of their cell phones pocket-dialed 911, and instead of hanging up, the emergency dispatcher listened in.

Some of the dialogue that gave him cause for concern included statements from the suspects such as, "I just want to smoke weed so bad right now" and "give me the bolt and give me the hammer just in case," all before hearing glass breaking in the background.

Once the dispatcher found out the suspects' location, he sent a patrol car to catch them. Of course, this led to even more quasi-humorous ramblings captured on tape.

"He's following the (expletive) out of you, bro," one of the suspects said. The other said in reply, "Wow, what the (expletive) did I do?"

Listen to the audio in the video above to find out what happened once they got pulled over. Teklemarian and Rinehart are now facing charges that include breaking and entering, possession of stolen property, and conspiracy.
