Better Late Than Never: 101-Year-Old Florida Man Running For Congress
A 101-year-old Florida man is running for Congress, proving you’re never too old to follow your dreams.
Joe Newman, of Sarasota, is tossing his hat in the race for Florida’s 16th Congressional District as a write-in candidate.
If he wins, he would be the oldest freshman in Congress. The oldest current member of Congress is 90-year-old Rep. Ralph Hall (R-Texas).
Newman’s slogan is: Real issues, real points, real campaign.
The self-described “anthropological progressive” joined Gretchen Carlson today to discuss his plans to run for Congress. Watch the interview above.
