New Mars Images Could Show Evidence of Flowing Water
Newly released images from NASA show what scientists think could be evidence that water was flowing on the Red Planet. The photos suggest water could still be flowing on Mars.
Jon Scott reviewed the discovery with astronomer Derrick Pitts, who noted that scientists have been able to find these apparent signs of flowing water, but the "smoking gun" images remain elusive.
He said it's well known that there is a "tremendous amount of water frozen into the Martian soil," but how it's getting to the surface is still unconfirmed.
