U.S. Deciding on Drone Strikes Against American Terror Suspect
New reports indicate that the United States may use a drone attack to target an American terror suspect.
Officials say the member of Al Qaeda is planning attacks on Americans overseas. Fox News national security correspondent Jennifer Griffin reported that officials are discussing how to handle a number of Americans who have pledged allegiance to Al Qaeda.
In this case, President Obama has not signed off on using a drone attack against the suspect because of legal hurdles that were introduced when he heightened drone guidelines.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-MI) previously warned that the new policy changes could put American lives at risk.
Griffin reported that CIA drones are watching the American suspect in an undisclosed country, but cannot strike while they await a decision from Washington.
