Gretchen Carlson Talks Online Abuse on ‘Media Buzz’
Gretchen Carlson joined Howard Kurtz on this week’s Media Buzz to discuss the online abuse that women in the media face.
Carlson said she thinks it’s important to expose some of the hate, and adds that you have to have thick skin.
She told Kurtz that her dad gave her advice after she won Miss America, and it has stayed with her.
“He said, ‘Gretchen, you know what, no matter how hard you try, you’re never gonna get everyone to like you,’ and it sounds so simplistic but it stayed with me all these years,” she said.
Carlson was in Washington, D.C. for a screening of “Persecuted,” a movie in which she plays a TV anchor.
