Congressman Presses DOJ on Obama’s Response to IRS Question
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) is pressing the Department of Justice on how Obama was able to say in his Super Bowl Sunday interview that there was “not even a smidgen of corruption” within the IRS.
An investigation into whether or not the IRS targeted tea party groups is ongoing.
“How can the president of the United States go on TV on Super Bowl Sunday and say that there’s not a smidgen of corruption in this investigation … how can he be so sure when it’s an ongoing investigation?” Jordan asked.
On The Kelly File tonight, Jordan said he thinks Obama is confident that the investigation won’t find any corruption because Barbara Bosserman, an Obama donor, is leading the probe.
“She has a financial interest in a specific outcome. She has a financial stake in the success of the president, and yet she’s heading the investigation,” he said.
