Van Susteren said she got an email today asking, “Did the people who built healthcare.gov design Atlanta’s ‘snow and ice’ plan?”

Then, Van Susteren learned that the area only got 2.6 inches of snow.

“The citizens of Atlanta are getting absolutely clobbered, they’re stranded, they’re cold, no food. Many still aren’t home tonight. So, where was the local government? How does a local government fail its people like that when it’s only 2.6 inches?”

Van Susteren dug a bit deeper and found that Atlanta recently purchased $2.5 million in snow removal equipment. “So ask yourself: What was the point of that if you’re not going to use it effectively to help your citizens?”
